Welcome to the Youth National Party

Welcome to the Youth National Party blog.

Back in November 2009, a few days before the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai Massacre we realised that enough had not been done and achieved. The political system of India and the bureaucracy had not done enough to ensure that we do not face any such incident again.

Back in Kolkata, Kshitij Chitranshi always knew that the youth has tremendous power and was sure that if we, the youth, enter politics, can make a big difference. On analysing different aspects of the youth mindset he realised that the youth, somehow, feared to join politics, or, felt that it was a mess, a drain where people are destroyed. The youth has the basic thought process (like many of us) that they have better things in life.

To change this thought process of the youth Kshitij then contacted Anshul Tewari, the Founder and Editor in Chief of Youth Ki Awaaz, an online platform for the youth to express themselves over issues of national concern, and Prabal Bharadwaj, the founder of Media4Change, a newsletter that believes in voicing itself against everything that is NOT right.

Together, these three youngsters co-founded the Youth National Party, which is a virtual party and a platform where the youth will get to taste politics. They will be provided with resources and views on the political scenario and how it change so that they, the youth, re-think about joining politics.

If you have a question, we have the answer.
