Mediocrity

"Some men are born mediocre men, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them"

-Joseph Heller

Needless to say that Indian mentality has transformed its image from superiority to mediocrity.Being an Indian myself this must not incite that how someone can say about an Indian.By saying this it already hurts me while writing this but the fact is we never want to face the challenges and we all continue to live with the same old mediocre attitude 'chalta hai'.

Since a quiet long time i have been observing that people of our country which i am generalizing by taking into account of local population is that they are not at all interested
in doing their work. They do it as a forced responsibility. They do not perform their work as a duty but as a burden thrust upon them to earn money.Taking few live examples in to consideration, when we have some construction work going at our home and we call on labourers to do their subjected work, they often run away by giving meaningless excuse which not only causes delay in work but even makes that person irritated whose work has to be done.

Another famous example of our Indian people...Common Wealth Games. It was started around 2 years back but sill the infrastructure planned for the event has not been completed and its expected that the deadline set for it may have to be extended. This may certainly bring the image of India down.

According to me if this has to be removed from our system,we have to come up with a more precise policies which could force them to complete work in time and also to penalise them if delay in work is caused.

Lower section groups has to be given more incentives if they will to work hard and complete the work within the given deadline.

These are just few points which i thought was worth sharing. Many more are still there to be discussed which i think the people of this country should do altogether and not alone.
Thanks.

Caste,reservations and quota

Well our very own politicians and their officers have only one thing to do,either they provide quota, make reservations and involving more and more caste based politics into our already messed up political system.Well this kind of thinking is making our very own talented people to fled away from their motherland. And this is not the end as this is a very small problem infront of many big issues to be faced. If we are making reservations then why there is poverty or lack of unemployment in backward categories? Why they are still dying of hunger?

Answer to that simple question is a difficult one.Not difficult for us but for the politicians. Those for whom these reservations are being made don't even have proper clothes, houses and food to eat.Now another question would arise after reading this that still people from backward classes are utilizing this opportunity.Yeah they are and they are misusing it too. When you talk about reservation you mean a seat or a vacancy but when you talk about promotion in anyway then it is about being fair. What i am trying to say is people of backward classes should be given more facilities so that they can develop more quickly but if that person is not fit for the higher position based on fair merit then why this is done?

Why do we play caste system when it comes to quality?I am not questioning only this to politicians but also the people of higher caste as well of lower caste.

To the higher caste my question is"Why you guys try to dominate lower caste people and why do you people don't allow them to come up when they have the capability and potential to do a certain job better than a person of higher caste person?"

To the lower caste my question is"Why you guys feel dominated? What is the reason that you still think that only reservation can bring you up to the top level? If you have the potential then good and learned people would definitely recognize you.

These politicians and few other people are taking undue advantage of the caste system prevailing in our society.Either we continue living with it or we try to improve the basic problems by questioning it and by solving them.

Think about it.

Socialist,Capitalists or Communists?

We call ourself a mixed economy as we have the characteristics of both socialists and capitalists economy.I am not an economists but still as a responsible citizen i would like to raise some issues related to it.

When we talk about economy, our attention straight goes to the GDP and per capita income.Lets keep the technical aspects of economics out of the context of society and human development.

Economy is for public and depends upon it.What we are listening that these days that our economy is growing at a rate of 6.5% approx as recession is ending gradually and employment market is improving. At the same time we are facing inflationary pressures which is currently at 4.5%.

Higher class and higher middle class and lower middle class group can absorb the pressure of inflation to a certain limit but what about those who fall below Below Poverty Line(BPL).We know the government has provided them a scheme of guaranteed rashan of certain quantity at subsidized rate but still people are unable to derive benefit out of it.May be the reasons are corruption, black marketing, lack of awareness among poor, bad governance etc.

Tell me all you guys what these people would do with the sensex and nifty. If you ask them what do you think about BSE,they would definitely think that they are suffering from starvation and you are asking him about BSE which is completely a unique word for him.

My main purpose of this post is that we need growth but more what we need is social development. If that is not achieved other would be meaningless.Think about it.

Initiative

We never think about taking initiative. Why is it so?Our we afraid of being left out alone or we think that someone else would do it?

I know what is the problem. The problem with us are that we do not want to do anything. We do not want to make a change but want change to happen.Youth is currently busy in building their successful career. No one has time to do anything for others and those who do,no one gives importance to them. And after all this everything is left to the corrupt politicians and later we criticize them saying that they never do anything good. They are just leading the nation to hell.

I want to ask every single indian "Who are we to question our politicians?". We are not conrtibuting to our country. If they are doing something let them do,atleast someone is doing something.

I do not know where are counrty is leading. If it continues to be like this then definitley the worse has to be seen by us.Someone wants to become a doctor, engineer, manager, ceo or atleast land up in a good paying job.Ever heard of anyone saying that he wants to become a politician? No.

Two reasons for that:

1) We are never encouraged as since beginning we our told that politics is a dirty field and it is not for good people. No learned person ever enters politics and if someone does they do not survive for long.

2)Who wants to take the pain of development and sufferings of others.Let others do.I just want to direct them.

These kind of mentality and thinking keeps indian politics deprived of talented people.Apart from these points no one ever thinks to take a different step and do some good.

Today i make it very clear to my young fellow indians and every citizen of india that i am not going to end myself with this kind of mentality.I want change and i would make a change. If any indian reading this blog and he has any affection towards his country then join me and my associates. We want developed India.
